AREAS OF USE OF RAW PEARLITE
The most important factor affecting pearlite consumption is the activity in the construction sector. Therefore, the demand for perlite presents a situation parallel to the developments and recessions in the construction sector. Climatic conditions are also another factor affecting the development of insulation systems in buildings, hence the use of perlite.
In the USA, one of the largest producer and consumer countries in the world, 71% of the perlite consumed in 1999 was used in construction production products, 10% in agricultural aggregate, 9% in filter auxiliary material, 7% in filling material, 3% in other areas (Wallece p. February 2000). It is stated that about 70% of the pearlite used in construction production products in the world is used in insulation plates and ceiling tiles.
Since hamperlite contains siliceous and aluminum compounds in terms of its chemical composition, it shows hydraulic activity by reacting chemically with calcium-based binders. Due to this feature, it is widely used in the construction industry. Perlite gives cement durability. For this purpose, raw pearlite rock is broken, ground and sifted, as well as pearlite resources that are naturally found in aggregate form are also used. Perlite, which is found as a natural aggregate in this way, has extensive reserves in our country. The areas of use of raw pearlite, broken down, ground and divided into grain sizes are given below.
It is especially used in the production of sewer pipes because it is resistant to acids and bases.
In interior and exterior construction plasters
Because it is resistant to frost, it is used in water-receiving constructions
In the waterproofing of roofs and terraces
In the construction of swimming pools
In the production of light construction elements as plaster in thermal insulation or with insulation such as briquette tile
As skidding sand on railways
As an abrasive in the abrasive industry
In water treatment plants with filter sand and /or gravel (in accordance with TS 4081)
As asphalt filling material on highways
As a waste thickener, metal cleaner and silica source in foundries
In powdered soaps and detergents (Raw pearlite powder)
In the Production of Concrete Tiles (Seraper - Persa Pearlite Concrete Tile Factories are guaranteed for 30 to 50 years.
Since it is in the character of lightweight building material, it is used as a PLASTER for thermal INSULATION or in the production of insulated lightweight building elements such as BRIQUETTES.
AREAS OF USE OF EXPANDED PEARLITE
The classified raw perlite is transferred to the vertical furnace by passing through preheating through the elevator.Under heat shock, the temperature is expanded by 800-1000 º C. When heated suddenly, it expands under the influence of steam coming out of its structure and turns into a foam aggregate consisting of glassy grains. This event is called expanded pearlite. Expanded pearlite is light and white in different sizes.
Depending on the customer's request, it can be separated and packaged in different sizes through the machines produced by our company.
